UB Library Liaison Programme

At the University of The Bahamas each academic department and unit has been assigned a liaison librarian who

  • works collaboratively with the teaching faculty
  • serves as the department's point of contact for information about  library resources and services

How the Library Liaison Can Help

The Library Liaison or Subject Specialist Librarian can help faculty by

  • answering questions
  • sharing information about library resources and services
  • offer presentations or demonstrations of new library resources and services of interest to an academic department
  • direct faculty to the best information sources
  • update departmental reading lists
  • assist with designing assignments that use library resources
  • consult with faculty on their research and information needs
  • provide advice and assistance with research data management
  • participate in interdisciplinary research teams
