NUBL 302 Course Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Students will integrate theory with practice to develop competency in specific nursing skills. Emphasis is on demonstrating clinical competence in drug administration and aseptic technique for safe practice.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1)       Utilize the drug process in the administration of  medication;

2)       Administer medications via various routes;

3)       Perform aseptic technique:

4)       Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking skills for safe practice;

5)       Apply principles of documentation and reporting.

REQUIRED ANCILLIARY EQUIPMENT

Students are required to have a stethoscope, a  watch with sweep hand and blood pressure kit.
