Core Reading List for MSN Programme

There is a set of core texts for the entire programme.

For guidance on how to use APA 7th ed. the APA website https://apastyle.apa.org/ is highly recommended,  It provides examples of formatted references, how to format in-text citations, how to format your paper and how to set up the title page correctly.

MSN – Public Community Health (60 credits)

MSN – Nurse Education (54 credits)

MSN – Nursing Administration (54 credits)

MSN – Adult Gerontology (61 credits)

 

Admissions Requirements:

General requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, proof of RN Licensure, with clinical experience and a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 point scale.

For the clinical nurse specialist: Certified copy of post basic nursing diploma and a minimum of 5 years clinical experience in Acute Care or Community Health plus general requirements.

Conditional acceptance: GPA of 2.5 – 2.99, proof of RN Licensure and clinical experience.

Research Ethics Online Training

MSN students will be required to take a research ethics course.  

Global Health Training Centre free course: Research Ethics Online Training (V2).  This course consists of 10 modules that take between 15-30 minutes per module to complete.  You complete the course at your own pace and get a certificate at the end.  https://globalhealthtrainingcentre.tghn.org/elearning/research-ethics/
